Australia-born Aurora trained in fashion design and has a professional background in the derivatives markets. Frustrated with her struggle to find shoes that were both beautiful and comfortable, she embarked on an investigation into the factors that can increase the level of comfort in elegant shoes.

Using her research as the foundation for a new line of footwear, she has created a collection of shoes that unite aesthetics with practicality, beauty with wearability, sexiness with comfort: shoes that women can enjoy wearing without having to endure pain.

Embracing her Italian heritage, Aurora determined that the line should be hand-made by Italian artisans using the softest, most high-quality materials. Working with the craftsmen to develop the line, fusing traditional shoemaking techniques with innovative technological advances, she is now ready to present the luxury label, IPILYA.

The design process takes into account the lifestyle of modern women and the kinds of shoes that they might require. From ornate evening styles with both high and low heels, to shoes that are work appropriate and elegant ballerinas and sandals to complete a polished but casual look, IPILYA shoes accompany our client in every moment of her day.

The foundation of any shoe is the last on which it is constructed. The last determines the width of the shoe, the shape of the toe and height of the heel.

At IPILYA we take special care to ensure that our lasts are wide enough to comfortably accommodate an average foot.

Our last development is backed up by thorough fit testing on a range of different feet to make sure that our shoes will have the look we want as well as the comfort that we insist on.

Likewise, our heels are developed to create a sense of balance so that our customers can walk confidently.

We love to wear high heels in the evening, but also include more practical mid-height heels for use in the daytime.

The leathers in IPILYA shoes are exclusively Italian. They are sourced from the top tanneries with special attention to durability, softness and a luxury finish.
